Soft Pour Playground Cleaning

With wet pour playgrounds becoming more common through the UK we are being called on more often to carry out soft play playground cleaning. These surfaces are prone to becoming slippery and dangerous, which in turn can cause accidents and injuries. With soft play playgrounds being fitted within schools, parks and council run areas we are being asked to clean the black, slippery surfaces more often

About this Process

At kleenaway cleaning we have a range of methods for soft play playground cleaning, one for every situation. Our preferred method is pressure washing the surface with a flat surface cleaner, treat with a chemical cleaner which sterilises the surface and then to rinse off again. For us this is the method used on 95% of the playgrounds we clean and give the best results for the money spent. Our second method for soft play playground cleaning is to use low pressure steam to clean the surface. The water is passed through large trailer mounted boilers to achieve the temperature needed to clean the surface effectively. This is used when chemical cleaning is not wanted due to environmental issues or if we deem necessary. Our third option for rubber playground cleaning is to use a slow speed rotary cleaner and chemicals. This method is used when water access or the use of water may be an issue such as internal soft play playgrounds. We may choose to carry out a mixture of all of these methods depending of the environment, soiling and needs of the customer. All methods will be provided with RAMS, COSHH and data sheets for chemicals to be used during the cleaning process.
